Labor & Delivery Nurse

This position presents an opportunity to join an elite team of passionate physicians and nurses within this Labor and Delivery unit! This facility is looking for a Labor and Delivery RN that is competent to work on a LD/PP Nursery and be able to crossover to assist within the unit. As a LD RN here you will be floating within the unit. This Labor and Delivery unit has a BPM of 120 - 130 and an average Daily Census of 18 LD cases, 10 Postpartum cases, and 10 Baby cases. As a LD RN here your Nurse Patient Ratio is going to be: LD 1:2, Couplets/PP 4:1, Nsy 1:8. The Patient Population here is Obstetrics and you will float within the unit and will orient to the unit by the Preceptor. This Labor and Delivery unit uses: LVN's and Work Clerks. 10 RN's will be in unit at a time. Special Medication/Drips on this LD unit are: Magnesium Sulfate/Pitocin. Special Procedures done on this LD unit are: Caesar Section and special equipment used is: Fetal Heart monitors and Radiant Warmers.
