Intensive Care Nurse - ICU Nurse

Additional Unit Information:
Total # of beds in the unit: 12 PACU, 15 Pre-op, 10 Ambulatory. Nurse to patient ratios 2:1 or 1:1 in PACU – Pre-Op/Ambulatory: 4:1 for all shifts. No Ancillary Staff. Patients range in age mixed from Adults to Geriatrics. Staff works in 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts. Unit patient population: Orthopedic, Urology, Ophthaimology, Head & Neck, Spine, Podiatry, ENT, GYN, Pediatric surgery, Neurosurgery, Prep Open heart cases, ACID and Pacemakers, General surgery. Special Unit Procedures that could cause ethical issues: Depends on what a person considers an ethical issue. Documentation System: Health Connect Electronic Medical Record. Supplemental Staff required to float when necessary. Scrubs RN provides their own blue or green scrubs.
