Challenge Accepted – Year of the Nurse 2020
NurseChoice is thrilled to announce that we are honoring global efforts to recognize and support nurses and midwives in 2020! The Year of the Nurse was established by World Health Organization (WHO) in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of nurses and midwives in our healthcare system.
Nursing Now, the international council of nurses, collaborated with WHO to raise the stakes and launch the Nightingale Challenge in honor of Year of the Nurse. The Nightingale Challenge was created to target Healthcare Organizations and ask them to honor nurses in any way possible.
How Will NurseChoice Support Year Of The Nurse?
NurseChoice proudly accepted the Nightingale Challenge and donated to the Nursing Now initiative. The team at NurseChoice is well aware of the dedication and effort that nursing takes, and feels passionately that society should have this knowledge as well.
Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday resonates with the NurseChoice team because she paved the way for nurses today. She was devoted to patient care during the toughest of times, just as nurses today are. We take pride in offering the highest quality patient care to hospitals and healthcare facilities, and this is a perfect time to reflect on those who consistently uphold our values. For this reason, we will be offering additional educational resources to our nurses and recognizing their many achievements all year long.
